I am an American writer with a penchant for Paris and all things pink!

Before writing novels, I worked as a print journalist for a Pulitzer prize winning newspaper and served in the United States Air Force as a Radio and Television Broadcaster.

An avid traveler, I have had adventures and mishaps from London to Tokyo, which I write about on my blog, On Life, Love & Accidental Adventures, and in my contemporary romantic series, The It Girls.

I was once a collector of truly useless bric-a-brac and cheesy tee-shirts.  My cheesiest? A tee with a cartoon Jesus riding a surf board and the words, ”And on the eighth day, Jesus went surfing in Greece.”

Both the 487th Bomb Group and the Luftwaffe suffered many casualties during an aerial gun battle. This book was originally self-published by the author in 2004 in order to provide a copy of his memoirs to The Mighty Eighth Air Force Heritage Museum, Savannah, Georgia and commemorate sixty years since his WWII combat experience. His Tru Love Crew (also known as Gasser’s Crew) first got back together in 1989 where forty-five years later they naturally reminisced about the closeness of their time together as a tight nit group going into battle. This meeting inspired some to begin writing down their combat memories as well as their accomplishments after leaving the Air Force. As a result, his WWII memories plus some intervening lifetime memories that he was able to accomplish due to that short period of service in the US AAF is recorded in this book Kenneth Cleveland Drinnon a native of Hancock County, Tennessee was born in Lee County, Virginia November 30, 1924 to Glenn B. and Willie Mae Overton Drinnon. Interview with j.E. Wright, author of The Sexualization of America's Kids

Title: The Sexualization of America's Kid's
Author: J.E. Wright
Publisher: iUniverse
Pages: 176
Genre: Parenting
Format: Kindle/Paperback

Currently, kids are being hyper-sexualized by the exploding provocativeness in the media. Parents can develop the skills to recognize these subtle influences and the knowledge to counteract and do something about it. In The Sexualization of America's Kids, Mr. Wright draws on his 22 years as a therapist, working with over 1,000 kids and their families, to demonstrate how this provocativeness affects our kids. He uses their stories to discuss how kids fall prey to these negative presentations, and he recommends Seven Ways to Raise Sexually Healthy Children and Teenagers.

Mr. Wright's use of dialogued role-plays and actual case examples shows parents when and how to appropriately communicate on sexual issues with their different aged kids. His caring and concrete approach makes this book a necessity for all parents who are raising kids today.

Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what do you listen to?

I only listen to the sounds of nature outside my sunroom patio door, which includes birds, wind, and the rain.

Do you have any suggestions for upcoming writers?

Be confident in your ideas and thoughts and always write in the mornings.

What is it you like to do when you are not reading and writing?

I really enjoy spending time with my adult daughter and son, our grandkids, and my wife traveling. I also exercise every day and typically race in two or three triathlons a summer.

Is there an author or authors that have inspired you?

I have really enjoyed Jamaica Kincade because her writing takes you to a different world. Almost dreamlike. I also enjoy many adventure writers and their quest to survive in nature.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I  always wanted to be a missionary in Africa.  I even considered joining the Christian Brothers at one time in my young life. However, falling in love with my wife, having our own children, and becoming a therapist change most of that for the better.

How do you react to a bad review of your book?

It is usually difficult because it affects me on two levels. One, it hurts personally. And two,  it makes me question my research and professionalism. Of course, both of these reactions lead to personal and professional growth.

Janis began writing poetry in earnest after her first poem was published in an anthology in 1994 at age seventy- two. Following this, several of her poems were published in different anthologies through the years where she received numerous editors’ choice awards.

The spiritual nature of Janis’ poems reflects her deep religious faith. In 1998, a book of her inspirational poems and selected Bible verses, “In HIS Care,” was published as a fiftieth anniversary remembrance. In 1999, singer Jody Murphy selected a poem, He Is Real, from this book to sing and record in Nashville, TN.

Afterwards, Janis was selected for Marquis Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Silver 25th Edition, Marquis Who’s Who in America, 52nd Edition, and Dictionary of International Biography, 26th Edition. She was elected to the International Poetry Hall of Fame in 1996.

What are some of the best tools available today for writers?

The internet for research and dealing with publishers and promotions.

I love reading romance, but even more, I love to write it. My characters hound me, demanding their stories are told. I’m happy to oblige, giving them the romance they’re after, provided they can accept a little angst and adventure along the way. In beautiful New Zealand, I live with my hubby and four energetic children, and adore using the stunning countries of the South Pacific as backdrops in many of my books. One day I hope to travel further afield, to visit the Scottish Highlands, America, and everywhere between. Currently I have three series underway. Highlander Heat, historical Highlander romances, feature strong heroines whose paths collide with their delicious Highland heroes. Magio-Earth, is a fast-paced YA fantasy romance line, where across worlds, soul-bound mates battle against both love and land. And in Bodyguards, each heart-pounding story will bring you a bodyguard and the woman he protects. There is no greater feeling than seeing my characters come to life, so come and join me...where romance meets fantasy and adventure.
